One of the UK’s leading hotel chains Holiday Inn approached See Switches to help supply sockets, switches and powering solutions for their new style modular-style container building.
One of the first hotels in the UK to be built using construction technique, the 220-bed Holiday Inn Express in Trafford, Manchester, is constructed from purpose-built steel containers complete with factory-finished interior fixtures and fittings, all of which were installed before being delivered to site
See Switches supplied a number of switches, sockets and powering solutions for each room. These included IP44 Downlights, Dual Voltage Shaver Sockets, Keycard entry, wall switches and dual USB sockets.
Employing this type of off-site modular design required a completely new approach by the construction team, to the traditionally linear design process. Driven by the lead-in times associated with the off-site works See Switches worked with the construction team to ensure appropriate lead times, delivery and appropriate installation.
The hotel is one of the first in the UK to offer the Holiday Inn’s latest Generation 4 guest experience, with new guest room designs developed to meet the needs of today’s ‘smart traveller’. We here at See Switches are proud to be part of this and happy to work with service-led industries to provide solutions to their customers.
